Cloud Security: Cloud security refers to the methods and technology used to protect cloud computing environments from both external and internal cybersecurity threats. Cloud computing, or the supply of information technology services via the internet, has become essential for organizations and governments looking to speed innovation and cooperation. To keep data and applications in the cloud secure from current and upcoming cybersecurity threats, cloud security and security management best practices aimed to prevent un-authorized access are required.

Cloud security varies depending on the type of cloud computing used. Cloud computing is divided into four categories:

Software-as-a-service (SaaS), infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) are examples of public cloud services provided by a public cloud provider (PaaS).

Private cloud services provided by a public cloud provider — These services provide a computing environment dedicated to a single customer that is managed by a third party.

Private cloud services managed by internal staff — These services are a development of the classic data center, in which internal staff manages a virtual environment.
